Datenschutzerklärung — Yijing
Kurz gesagt: Yijing sammelt nichts. Alle Daten (Lesungen, Verlauf, Einstellungen) bleiben auf deinem Gerät. Es gibt keinen Server des Anbieters, kein Tracking, keine Analyse, keine Werbung. Die einzige mögliche Datenübertragung entsteht, wenn du selbst einen externen KI-Endpunkt einträgst — dann geht dein Lesungstext an genau diesen, von dir gewählten Server.
Welche Daten verarbeitet werden
Yijing ist ein Nachschlagewerk und Studientool zum Yijing (I Ging). Du wirfst das Orakel, liest die Wilhelm-Texte und kannst optional eine KI-Deutung anfragen. Dabei entstehen ausschließlich Daten, die du selbst eingibst (deine optionale Frage) oder die die App lokal erzeugt (der geworfene Hexagramm-Zustand, dein Verlauf).
Lokale Speicherung
Verlauf, Endpunkt-Einstellungen, Sprache, Fassung und Theme werden im localStorage deines Browsers gespeichert (in der nativen App im geteilten App-Group-Speicher des Geräts). Es gibt keine Datenbank und keinen serverseitigen Zustand. Du kannst den Verlauf jederzeit in der App löschen.
Keine Sammlung, kein Tracking
Es gibt keine Analyse-Dienste, keine Telemetrie, keine Cookies zu Werbezwecken, keine Drittanbieter-Tracker und keine Weitergabe von Daten an den Anbieter. Der Anbieter erhält oder speichert keinerlei personenbezogene Daten.
KI-Deutung auf dem Gerät
Auf unterstützten Apple-Geräten läuft die KI-Deutung standardmäßig on-device (Apple Foundation Models); ein optionales Meditationsbild wird über Apple Image Playground lokal erzeugt. Diese Verarbeitung findet auf dem Gerät statt und sendet nichts an den Anbieter oder an Apple-Server.
Selbst eingetragene KI-Endpunkte (der einzige Datenausgang)
Du kannst optional einen eigenen KI-Endpunkt eintragen — etwa einen lokalen Server (Ollama, MLX, LM Studio) oder einen entfernten, OpenAI-kompatiblen Dienst. Tust du das und fragst eine Deutung an, wird dein Lesungstext (deine Frage und der Hexagramm-Kontext) an genau diesen von dir gewählten Server gesendet. Diese Übertragung unterliegt der Datenschutzrichtlinie des jeweiligen Anbieters, nicht dieser. Die voreingestellten Endpunkte sind lokal (localhost); ohne dein Zutun verlässt nichts dein Gerät.
Offline-Betrieb (PWA)
Als installierbare Web-App speichert ein Service Worker die App-Dateien lokal im Browser-Cache, damit Yijing offline funktioniert. Das ist reines lokales Caching ohne Datenübertragung.
Kinder
Die App richtet sich nicht gezielt an Kinder und erhebt keine Daten von irgendjemandem.
Änderungen
Wird diese Erklärung angepasst, ändert sich das Datum oben. Die jeweils aktuelle Fassung steht unter dieser Adresse.

Privacy Policy — Yijing
In short: Yijing collects nothing. All data (readings, history, settings) stays on your device. There is no provider server, no tracking, no analytics, no advertising. The only possible data transfer happens if you yourself enter an external AI endpoint — then your reading text is sent to exactly that server of your choosing.
What data is processed
Yijing is a reference and study tool for the Yijing (I Ching). You cast the oracle, read the Wilhelm texts, and may optionally request an AI interpretation. The only data involved is what you enter yourself (your optional question) or what the app generates locally (the cast hexagram state, your history).
Local storage
History, endpoint settings, language, register and theme are stored in your browser's localStorage (in the native app, in the device's shared App-Group storage). There is no database and no server-side state. You can clear the history in the app at any time.
No collection, no tracking
There are no analytics services, no telemetry, no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, and no sharing of data with the provider. The provider receives and stores no personal data whatsoever.
On-device AI interpretation
On supported Apple devices the AI interpretation runs on-device by default (Apple Foundation Models); an optional meditation image is generated locally via Apple Image Playground. This processing happens on the device and sends nothing to the provider or to Apple servers.
Self-configured AI endpoints (the only data egress)
You may optionally enter your own AI endpoint — a local server (Ollama, MLX, LM Studio) or a remote, OpenAI-compatible service. If you do and request an interpretation, your reading text (your question and the hexagram context) is sent to exactly that server you chose. That transfer is governed by the respective provider's privacy policy, not this one. The default endpoints are local (localhost); without your action, nothing leaves your device.
Offline use (PWA)
As an installable web app, a service worker stores the app files locally in the browser cache so Yijing works offline. This is purely local caching with no data transfer.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. The current version is always available at this address.
